Mozart’s Symphony No 40 is probably one of his most loved works. The second movement is exquisitely built from only a few short motifs that give it a beautiful simplicity and complexity at the same time. In this unabridged transcription for 4 flutes and piano, the 4th part can be played on either alto flute or concert flute. There are also clarinet alternatives for the 3rd and 4th flute parts.
